Sunrise studios announced that this story will have an anime adaptation for fall 2011 that will consist of 25 episodes and it will air on NHK-Educational channel.It is the story of Kaito, a puzzle-loving freshman at the private high school named "Root Academy." He is selected as a candidate for "Phi Brain" for his extraordinary mental skills. One day, he and his childhod friend Nonoha tackle the "unsolvable puzzle" hidden in the underground ruins near the school.
The anime is being directed by Junichi Sato (Tamayura) and the scripts are being developed by Mayori Sekijima (Saber Marionette J).
